Steamer
Within the cooking equipment category, we have another variant; a steamer. It is best suited for sausages which it heats by using steam, instead of having the sausages heated in water. The steamer consists of a water tank/vat with a perforated metal plate and on top of this is a plastic container made of plastic that is approved for use in the food industry. You fill the vat with water and when it warms up, it releases steam that heat the sausages in a gentle way. The sausages get hot without being boiling. You turn on the steamer with the power switch on the front of the appliance, and the temperature is easily set using the thermostat. The thermostat ensures that the heating element in the steamer switches on and off to keep the set temperature.
Cleaning of the plastic container, sliding lid and perforated plate can be done in the dishwasher, and the outer vat is easily emptied for water using the drain tap on the front of the vat.

The steamer is available as countertop model and is easy to fit in your kitchen. The transparent plastic container ensures a good presentation of the sausages, and it can give you more sales in your hotdog stand, fast-food shop etc. The transparent container also means that it is easier for you to keep an eye on the products during cooking and warming-keeping, both in relation to quantity and not least appearance. The steamer can become an indispensable device in your hotdog stand, your fast-food shop, or your cafeteria.
It is often a matter of habits and decor, which determines whether the best choice is a steamer or some other cooking equipment. It is not possible to build the steamers down into the countertop, and this may be a disadvantage for some shop owners. But that is no problem because we have a lot of other cooking equipment that is possible to build down into the countertop.
The steamer is a good addition to the sausage grill, making you able to serve different types of sausages, and thus satisfying the customers’ different wishes and tastes.
