Unitoaster - Conveyor toaster
The FKI Unitoaster, also called a conveyor toaster, is our best-selling toaster. It is ideal for heating sausage rolls, French hot dog buns, halved burger buns and similar bread products. The toaster is compact, reliable and easy to operate. This makes it an indispensable machine in most grill bars and hot dog stands. The Unitoaster has a “grid” belt that transports the bread through the machine and once they have reached the end of the machine, the bread fall into the bread tray under the conveyor belt. Above the conveyor belt, the Unitoaster has glass tubes/quarts with heating wires that heat and toast the bread as it passes through the machine.
The conveyor toaster is available in two different widths, with 280 mm and 400 mm heat pipes. Obviously, the 400 mm model can hold more bread at the same time than the 280 mm model. Apart from the size, there is no difference between the two models. Both widths are also available with variable belt speed and/or as an Eco (energy saving) model. Unitoasters have an energy saving button as standard (except the Eco model, which does it all automatically). If you push the energy saving button to “I”, the belt stops running and the two rear heat pipes (out of a total of four) turn off. When the energy saving button is pressed back to “II”, the belt runs again and all heating pipes are switched on.
The variable speed (V) conveyor toaster allows you to set the speed at which the conveyor belt travels to the speed that suits the bread you are heating. This gives you more options to heat different types of bread in the toaster without the bread getting either burnt or not hot enough.
The Eco model (E) with an efficient and automatic power saving function can save you up to 70% of the toaster’s power consumption. You can therefore quickly recoup the cost of the toaster in electricity savings. The Eco model has an automatic start/stop function that turns the machine off completely when it has not been used for 3 minutes. The machine then takes 20 seconds to heat up when you put bread in the machine. The machine uses photocells to detect when bread is placed on the belt, so all you have to do is place the bread on the conveyor belt, whether the machine is running or switched off.
